Des travaux sur la souris (2011\u20132023) ont montr\u00e9 la faisabilit\u00e9 exp\u00e9rimentale : des gam\u00e8tes d\u00e9riv\u00e9s de cellules cutan\u00e9es issues de la queue de souris ont donn\u00e9 des embryons puis des souriceaux viables et fertiles.<\/p><p>\u00a0 D\u2019embl\u00e9e \u00e9taient entrevues les possibilit\u00e9s nouvelles (faut-il parler d\u2019avanc\u00e9es)\u00a0 que cette technique pourrait apporter \u00e0 la reproduction humaine. Elle permettrait de disposer d\u2019un nombre consid\u00e9rable de spermatozo\u00efdes et d\u2019ovocytes : il n\u2019y aurait plus besoin de donneurs et tout risque de p\u00e9nurie en gam\u00e8tes serait \u00e9cart\u00e9. La FIVETE (f\u00e9condation in vitro) \u00e9viterait et la stimulation ovarienne et le pr\u00e9l\u00e8vement des ovocytes par ponction folliculaire. L\u2019infertilit\u00e9 f\u00e9minine ou masculine ne serait plus un obstacle \u00e0 l\u2019obtention de gam\u00e8tes. Les couples de m\u00eame sexe pourraient avoir des enfants issus de leur patrimoine g\u00e9n\u00e9tique, en ayant recours aux gam\u00e8tes \u00ab naturels \u00bb de l\u2019un et aux gam\u00e8tes g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9s par des cellules adultes pluripotentes chez l\u2019autre voire m\u00eame en permettant la f\u00e9condation de gam\u00e8tes produits in vitro par les cellules adultes pluripotentes de chacun des deux membres du couple. Bien entendu la technique serait accessible aux personnes seules. Bien entendu l\u2019embryon ne pourra se passer d\u2019une nidation dans l\u2019ut\u00e9rus, qu\u2019il s\u2019agisse de celui de la m\u00e8re ou que l\u2019on ait recours \u00e0 une gestation pour autrui\u2026 en attendant que les biotechnologies ajoutent \u00e0 leur panoplie l\u2019ut\u00e9rus artificiel. La technique abolit la limite d\u2019\u00e2ge pour la production de gam\u00e8tes. La gam\u00e9tog\u00e9n\u00e8se in vitro renforcera la s\u00e9lection et le tri d\u2019embryons et ce d\u2019autant que la technique elle-m\u00eame expose \u00e0 des d\u00e9sordres g\u00e9n\u00e9tiques et \u00e9pig\u00e9n\u00e9tiques ainsi qu\u2019\u00e0 des erreurs chromosomiques.<\/p><p>On aurait pu penser que serait pos\u00e9e, avant de proc\u00e9der \u00e0 des recherches sur l\u2019\u00eatre humain,\u00a0\u00a0 la question essentielle de de savoir si ces recherches technoscientifiques pouvaient \u00eatre une source de progr\u00e8s pour l\u2019avenir reproductif de l\u2019humanit\u00e9\u00a0? En affranchissant la reproduction des cellules germinales produites par l\u2019organisme, il s\u2019agissait bien d\u2019une technique disruptive<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\"><sup>[1]<\/sup><\/a> et en 2017, un article du New York Times<a href=\"#_ftn2\" name=\"_ftnref2\"><sup>[2]<\/sup><\/a> titrait\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0<em>Des b\u00e9b\u00e9s \u00e0 partir de cellules de la peau\u00a0? Une perspective inqui\u00e9tante pour certains experts\u00a0<\/em>\u00bb. Et, pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 ce questionnement essentiel, on aurait pu esp\u00e9rer un moratoire permettant l\u2019organisation par les soci\u00e9t\u00e9s savantes de d\u00e9bats scientifiques assortis de contributions \u00e0 la r\u00e9flexion \u00e9thique. La GIV aurait d\u00fb mobiliser cette heuristique de la peur qui doit s\u2019efforcer, selon les propositions de Hans Jonas<a href=\"#_ftn3\" name=\"_ftnref3\"><sup>[3]<\/sup><\/a>, d\u2019anticiper lucidement les dangers de cette technique \u00e0 moyen et \u00e0 long terme.<\/p><p>H\u00e9las il n\u2019en a rien \u00e9t\u00e9. Chez l\u2019humain, des chercheurs ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 obtenu des cellules germinales primordiales puis des cellules germinales sexuellement diff\u00e9renti\u00e9es, mais encore immatures (spermatogonies, ovogonies) ; la progression vers la m\u00e9iose compl\u00e8te et la formation de gam\u00e8tes matures, spermatozo\u00efdes et ovocytes n\u2019a pas encore abouti, mais para\u00eet imminente.<\/p><p>A l\u2019image du transhumanisme, cette technique ne pourra concerner, en raison de son co\u00fbt, qu\u2019une poign\u00e9e de pays riches et consum\u00e9ristes,\u00a0 tandis que la plus grande partie de l\u2019humanit\u00e9 c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire la plus pauvre continuera de procr\u00e9er de mani\u00e8re naturelle. Quel de viendra la configuration d\u00e9mographique plan\u00e9taire en termes de d\u00e9s\u00e9quilibres de natalit\u00e9\u00a0?<\/p><p>Est-il l\u00e9gitime de n\u2019assigner nulle limite au d\u00e9sir d\u2019avoir des enfants g\u00e9n\u00e9tiquement apparent\u00e9s ou faut-il admettre qu\u2019il s\u2019agit d\u2019un besoin auquel il faudrait r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 tout prix<a href=\"#_ftn4\" name=\"_ftnref4\"><sup>[4]<\/sup><\/a>\u00a0? La GIV ouvre m\u00eame la possibilit\u00e9 d\u2019avoir un enfant \u00ab\u00a0en solo\u00a0<a href=\"#_ftn5\" name=\"_ftnref5\"><sup>[5]<\/sup><\/a>\u00bb avec ses propres gam\u00e8tes de sexe oppos\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9s in vitro. Est-il souhaitable de devenir parents \u00e0 un \u00e2ge avanc\u00e9\u00a0? Quels seront les risques pour la descendance des personnes n\u00e9es par f\u00e9condation de gam\u00e8tes obtenus in vitro\u00a0? Comment g\u00e9rer ces bouleversements majeurs de la parentalit\u00e9\u00a0?<\/p><p>La production d\u2019un grand nombre d\u2019embryons ouvrira \u00e0 une s\u00e9lection embryonnaire de plus en plus exigeante. Qu\u2019en sera-t-il du regard port\u00e9 sur les personnes en situation de handicap, qui auraient \u00e9chapp\u00e9 \u00e0 la s\u00e9lection en d\u00e9pit d\u2019un eug\u00e9nisme qualifi\u00e9 par Habermas de lib\u00e9ral<a href=\"#_ftn6\" name=\"_ftnref6\"><sup>[6]<\/sup><\/a> et qui, sans \u00eatre une politique d\u2019\u00c9tat, infiltrera de plus en plus les m\u0153urs d\u2019une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 de plus en plus validiste<a href=\"#_ftn7\" name=\"_ftnref7\"><sup>[7]<\/sup><\/a>. Et que dire des exigences parentales en termes de sexe, mais aussi d\u2019autres caract\u00e8res morphologiques de l\u2019enfant\u00a0?<\/p><p>Les risques \u00e9thiques n\u2019\u00e9chappent pas aux structures institutionnelles qui se sont empar\u00e9es de ce sujet\u00a0: Agence de la biom\u00e9decine en France<a href=\"#_ftn8\" name=\"_ftnref8\"><sup>[8]<\/sup><\/a>\u00a0; Nuffield Council on Bioethics au Royaume-Uni\u00a0; American Society for Reproductive Medicine<a href=\"#_ftn9\" name=\"_ftnref9\"><sup>[9]<\/sup><\/a>, Acad\u00e9mies nationales des Sciences (USA)<a href=\"#_ftn10\" name=\"_ftnref10\"><sup>[10]<\/sup><\/a>. Mais tout se passe comme si la GIV devait devenir in\u00e9luctablement le nouveau mode de procr\u00e9ation m\u00e9dicalement assist\u00e9e et que le but de l\u2019\u00e9thique devra \u00eatre d\u2019inspirer le l\u00e9gislateur afin que la technique soit \u00ab\u00a0encadr\u00e9e\u00a0\u00bb. Le r\u00f4le de l\u2019\u00e9thique institutionnelle se limitera-t-il \u00e0 suivre l\u2019\u00e9volution des technosciences, \u00e0 proposer un encadrement toujours \u00e9volutif qui consistera \u00e0 accepter demain ce qui \u00e9tait interdit hier. Ne serait-il pas temps de repenser aux valeurs stables fondatrices de l\u2019humanit\u00e9, de faire preuve d\u2019anticipation, de pr\u00e9c\u00e9der et non de suivre les technosciences, bref d\u2019admettre que certaines avanc\u00e9es technoscientifiques pourraient conduire l\u2019humanit\u00e9 \u00e0 la pire des obsolescences, celles de l\u2019asservissement m\u00e9canique \u00e0 l\u2019artifice destructeur de biotechnologies qui veulent inscrire dans des laboratoires le destin d\u2019enfants dont la vie voudrait \u00eatre totalement \u00e9crite avant d\u2019\u00eatre v\u00e9cue.<\/p><p><a href=\"#_ftnref1\" name=\"_ftn1\">[1]<\/a> I.
